James Cameron will likely direct "The Dive," which writer Dana Stevens has signed on to adapt, the Hollywood Reporter reports. The film is based upon the true story of divers Francisco "Pipin" Ferreras and his wife, Audrey Mestre. Lightstorm Entertainment, Cameron’s company, acquired the rights to Ferreras’s tale, as well as a Sports Illustrated story about the couple. Cameron is producing with Jon Landau and Rae Sanchini. Lightstorm is also working on "Battle Angel," based on the manga comic "Battle Angel Alita."
