"Ocean’s Thirteen" promises to return the ensemble crime caper back to the glory of the original "Ocean’s Eleven." "Ocean’s Twelve" may have changed things up a little too much for some fans, so George Clooney promises a return to form, but still with a new twist.
"It’s a very different version of that," charmed Clooney. "It’s back to ‘Eleven’ in terms of spending more time with the guys, but it’s about revenge which I think is such a good motivator after you’ve had these guys make a lot of money. What are you going to do, let’s make some more money? So this one is about just getting somebody who hurt one of our guys and I always love films like that."
Clooney and Co. honestly plan to stop after the third film. Don’t expect to see "Ocean’s 25." "’Thirteen‘ happened because we felt like we could do it better than ‘Twelve.’ We didn’t want to go out getting socked in the chin on one. [Soderbergh and I] were both like, ‘We know how to do this.’ And we found a really good reason to do it, which is revenge. Which is always better than just making money. That made sense to us and we went, ‘That’s a good reason to do it’ and there doesn’t seem to be any other reason to come back. Listen, ‘Rocky 17?’ Who knows? Maybe ten years from now I’ll need a job again and I’ll take it. But right now, we don’t plan on it."
"Ocean’s Thirteen" is expected in theaters June 8, 2007.
