It has begun. With "Snakes On A Plane" slithering into theaters next month, the Sam Jackson flick — arguably already a cult classic — has released its first music video from the soundtrack, full of snakes, a band called Cobra Starship, and of course, Sam Jackson.

The first single from the "Snakes" soundtrack is called — what else? — "Snakes On A Plane (Bring It)," and the sound is pop-rocky and beat-driven; Cobra Starship frontman Gabe Saporta cites influences like "underground post-punk" and the Miami Sound Machine.

Saporta formed the band as a side project, with members from such bands as Gym Class Heroes, The Academy Is…, and Midtown. Not familiar? All you need to know is that Maja Ivarsson of the Sounds appears on the track, and she’s the hot Swedish blonde in hotpants in the music video.
