With the season 7 premiere coming July 16, Game of Thrones dominates the current pop culture consciousness. What you may not know is that some of the stars of HBO’s hit fantasy series can be found in some truly superb films you may have missed. Here are 14 Certified Fresh theatrical gems starring the GoT cast.

More Game of Thrones season 7 coverage:

  • Chris King

My jaw dropped when I realized Sibel Kekilli was Sibel Güner from Gegen die Wand. I have to say she shined more in that film than in GoT, but I still love her as Shae, in large part due to her sexy German *ahem* Lorathi accent. 😉

  • Robert

Another good list would be ‘GoT’ actors who appeared in James Bond films:
Diana Rigg: On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
Julian Glover and Charles Dance: For Your Eyes Only
    Jonathan Price: Tomorrow Never Dies
    Sean Bean: Goldeneye

  • Dawn M. Bourn

Most of those people have a huge body of work and if you are going with the “before they were famous” line then you should probably start with their break out roles (some from the 60’s and 70’s) and not ones mid career, or even ones that they have done since joining Game of Thrones.

    • Stuart Brown

They never said anything about breakout roles. The list was about underrated films with GoT stars

    • Louis

Yes, this list was totally about “before they were famous” roles, such as nobody knew who Little Finger was before his 2014 movie. Of course, the title of this article is THE 10 BEST OFF-THE-RADAR FILMS OF GAME OF THRONES STARS…so it does make me wonder if this was a list about movies they did before they were famous, or if it’s a list about THE 10 BEST OFF-THE-RADAR FILMS OF GAME OF THRONES STARS.

    Charles Dance Alien 3.
