Apparently Warren Beatty is intent on making a sequel to "Dick Tracy," even if he has to sue someone to get it done. A recent court ruling stated that the suit could move forward, but Warren Beatty sure isn’t getting any younger.
From IGN FilmForce: "Beatty sued the Tribune Co. in May 2005, claming he has owned the rights to the Chester Gould-created character since 1985 and stating that he still wishes to produce a sequel to a film that he made 16 years ago.
A judge in Los Angeles ruled Friday that the case can go to trial; Tribune’s request to end the suit in their favor was rejected."
Beatty’s 1990 rendition of "Dick Tracy" starred Madonna, Al Pacino, and Beatty himself, of course.
