Who Is the Best Joker?

The iconic villain has been portrayed on the big screen by several actors for over half a century, but who played him best?

Joaquin Phoenix is making all the headlines with his magnetic performance in Todd Phillips’ Joker, but before he came along to give us all the creeps, who played the character best? We decided to look back at the history of the singularly iconic villain as portrayed on screen and take on the impossible task of figuring out the answer to that question. So how did we do it? Watch as Mark Ellis takes every big-screen version of the Joker and pits them against each other in four categories: Box Office/Tomatometer, Most Memorable, Most Dastardly Plan, and, of course, the Wild Card round.
