Variety brings news that should delight all the (very patient) DVD addicts out there. Seems that Warner Bros. Home Video will finally release the 1933 classic "King Kong" on DVD just in time to ride the wave of excitement connected to Peter Jackson‘s new-fangled adaptation. No set release date has been announced just yet, but Universal’s new version of "King Kong" hits the screens on December 14th. Fans of the original "Kong" have been waiting a long time to see their giant primate pal in digital form for quite some time, and it looks like they’ll be getting their chance — just in time for Christmas.
