Warner Bros. is making plans to adapt the non-fiction book "Ten Bears," by Chip Silverman and Miles Harrison, Jr., into a feature film. The book tells the story of a group of student athletes circa 1970 who became the nation’s first lacrosse team comprised totally of African Americans. Variety says "the team, which included Harrison, was founded in 1970 and comprised off-season college football players from the historically black Morgan State University; most of them had never heard of the game."Screenwriter Josh Shelov is on adaptation duty, and he’s no stranger to sports movies; he also wrote the British football flick "Hooligans," which is scheduled for release later this year.
