It’s time for our weekly countdown of the Winter TV premieres! Here are the best new shows for the week of Friday, March 4th. See how this week’s shows, Hap and Leonard, The Family, House of Cards, and The Real O’Neals stack up against each other on the Tomatometer!

The two I have seen and enjoy are The Real O’Neals and House of Cards. The first is quirky and I’m unsure it will last – the quirkiness might get old. Hope they figure a way to keep it going. House of Cards is definitely binge-worthy. The wife and I are savoring the 4th season. Spoiler alert – politicians are really sneaky. It is fun to imagine who the writers are mocking – and to gasp when the characters do something that is both outrageous and weirdly believable. If you are jaded but still outraged by today’s politics, watch this. It will confirm your feelings. Start with episode 1, though. I tried to get my daughter interested by showing her the end of season 2 and it didn’t take. You have to get to know the characters to really enjoy the moves.
