The Hollywood Reporter indicates that actor Milo Ventimiglia has been signed to star as the son of Rocky Balboa in the impending sequel known as "Rocky Balboa" (aka "Rocky 6").

"In the sixth installment about the mythic Philadelphia boxer, Rocky has long since retired but is drawn back to the ring one last time. He is challenged by a powerful new champion, by personal tragedy and ultimately by himself. Rocky’s son, Rocky Balboa Jr., was first introduced into the franchise in "Rocky II," when his birth was a pivotal moment in the film. The role most recently was filled by Stallone’s real-life son, Sage Stallone, in "Rocky V.""

Movie fans may recognize Mr. Ventimiglia from his work in flicks like "Cursed," "Dirty Deeds," and "She’s All That," and TV shows like "The Gilmore Girls" and "American Dreams."
