Want more Transformers? According to Slashfilm, DreamWorks is making sure you get your wish — and sooner rather than later.
The site, picking up on an item in the Los Angeles Times, reports that Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay have apparently signed on to make the sequel, which is being targeted for a summer 2009 release. As Slashfilm points out, this report at least mildly contradicts last week’s news that studio delays were causing Bay to consider “jumping ship” from Transformers 2 in favor of something that stands a realistic chance of wrapping before the strike.
According to Slashfilm‘s best guess, a Transformers sequel would need to begin production by next fall in order to make it to screens by the summer of 2009.
