It’s official: Sundance Head is The Voice!

Season 11 of the Emmy-winning series wrapped up with a star-studded finale Tuesday night, and country crooner Sundance Head handed Blake Shelton his 5th win on the show. Sundance was a heavy favorite leading into the finale, and most fans felt justice was done.

Sundance may be a country guy, but he’s a rocker down deep where it matters. That’s why fans thought his performance tonight with KISS verged on legendary, especially since it’s been one of his lifelong dreams.

Although not everyone was thrilled with the 3-hour affair – which included an hour-long recap from Monday’s performance finale and put the show past its normal 10 p.m. end time.

…the fans pulled for their favorites all night long. Here’s how the top four broke down:

FOURTH PLACE: JOSH GALLAGHER

Josh Gallagher wasn’t able to take Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine across the finish line as his first country singer finalist. But fans on Twitter appreciated Gallagher’s duet with country songstress Cam on “Burning House,” and they love the original single he debuted on the performance finale – it even trended on Twitter Monday night.

THIRD PLACE: WÉ MCDONALD

Seventeen-year-old powerhouse Wé McDonald, Alicia Keys’ protégé, kicked off the duets with John Legend and a heartfelt rendition of his new single, “Love Me Now.” That set Twitter abuzz with envy.

SECOND PLACE: BILLY GILMAN

Twitter was a bit more divided about pop singer Billy Gilman, who many fans feel had the vocal chops but lacked the raw talent and passion of some of the other contestants. As the first runner up, a lot of #TeamBilly fanatics felt the former child singing prodigy was robbed.

The Voice returns in February for season 12 with coaches Shelton, Levine, Keys, and Gwen Stefani
