When Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi’s Spiderwick Chronicles make the leap from printed page to silver screen on February 15, the Mark Waters-directed adaptation will be getting a little extra boost, courtesy of the IMAX Corporation.
In a deal announced yesterday, IMAX and Paramount announced that The Spiderwick Chronicles will be debuting simultaneously on traditional and IMAX screens. As ComingSoon notes, this marks the fourth time in five months that Paramount and IMAX have joined forces. From the article:

Wechsler. “Paramount Pictures’ continued enthusiasm towards IMAX theatres as a distribution platform is adding to the strength of our release schedule, which contributes to the growing popularity of The IMAX Experience, and ultimately the growth of the IMAX theatre network.”
