Variety brings news of an upcoming collaboration between old pals Quentin Tarantino ("Kill Bill") and Robert Rodriguez ("Sin City"). Both directors will deliver a one-hour horror flick, and together the pair of scary tales will be released as "Grind House."
This project will hit the screens courtesy of Bob & Harvey Weinstein’s new company, and it sounds like the filmmakers have hit upon a novel approach to this flick: "The film, which is planned for a spring 2006 release, also will include its own trailers, bonus materials and added extras from other filmmakers that will be packaged together between the two horror flicks in a tribute to the old, big-city movie houses like those on New York’s 42nd Street that earned the moniker grindhouses for programming genre pics back to back." But if the boys want to have their movie ready for next Spring, they better get to work soon!
