Sci-Fi Wire had a chat with the deservedly admired filmmaker Sam Raimi (director of the "Evil Dead" and "Spider-Man" series), and he divulged an interesting little tidbit regarding the future of Sony’s web-slinging franchise: "I’ve heard Amy Pascal (chairman of Sony’s motion picture group) say she wants to make six Spider-Man pictures … and if she says there’ll be six, there’ll be six."
And regarding the director’s potential involvement? "If they were to ask me, and if I felt as passionate as I feel now about the character and had this great hunger and desire to tell the story, which I really do now, you couldn’t keep me away from it." Mr. Raimi also gave up some more vague hints about "Spider-Man 3" – so check out the article over at SciFi.com.
