Variety brings news of yet another Marvel comic book adaptation that’s just about to get underway: the relatively obscure 1970’s comic book "Killraven." Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Robert Schenkkan ("The Quiet American") is in talks to adapt the property into feature-length form. For those unfamiliar with the tale, Variety describes it thusly: "Set in a future where mankind has been enslaved by an alien race, storyline follows a man who, though born in captivity, rises through gladiatorial battles to become the leader of a group of revolutionaries." Sony plans to release the flick as a big-time "tentpole" release, which means you’ll most likely be seeing it during the summer months.
