What happens when literature’s most goth characters get their own show together?
In the tradition of premium cablers hooking in viewers with free previews, Showtime has made the first episode of its new horror series, Penny Dreadful, available today across platforms, including YouTube and SHO.com .
Penny Dreadful features some of classic lit’s most recognizable horror characters — Dr. Frankenstein, Dorian Gray, and iconic figures from Dracula — whose stories are woven together into a new psychological thriller set in the dark corners of Victorian-era London.
The premiere, “Night Work,” will air on on Sunday, May 11, on Showtime, which will also make the second episode available the same day on Showtime Anywhere.
