Nathan Fillion (aka Firefly Capt. Malcolm Reynolds) has signed on to star in Universal’s upcoming sequel to "White Noise," and he’ll be co-starring with another small-screen sci-fi star: "Battlestar Galactica‘s" Katee Sackhoff.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, ""White Noise 2: The Light" has attracted two space stars into its orbit. Nathan Fillion, who starred in Joss Whedon‘s cult sci-fi series "Firefly" and subsequent movie "Serenity," is set to star in the horror movie while Katee Sackhoff, who plays "Starbuck" in the acclaimed "Battlestar Galactica" TV series, is in negotiations to topline with him. Patrick Lussier is directing. In the sequel to the 2005 hit, a man’s family is murdered, but he is brought back from the brink of death. The man realizes he has changed and can now identify those among the living who are about to die. When he tries to save people from their fate, he discovers there is a price to paid for interfering with the natural order. Matt Venne wrote the script."
