Variety tells the tale of a rookie screenwriter Cory Goodman who found a fan in a genre genius Sam Raimi and sold his very first screenplay as a result. Goodman penned "Priest," which is described as a "vampire western" and tells the story of "a warrior priest who disobeys church law by teaming with a young sheriff and a priestess to track down a band of renegade vampires who have kidnapped his niece." Raimi’s Ghost House production company will oversee the movie while Sony’s Screen Gems will distribute. No director has been announced just yet.
