Variety reports that actor Ryan Reynolds and "Pretty Persuasion" director Marcos Siega will be bringing the comedy "Chaos Theory" to life, by way of Castle Rock Entertainment and Warner Independent Pictures.

"Inferno Distribution is financing the pic, which producer Frederic Golchan has been trying to bring to the bigscreen for 12 years. Project was originally set up at Warner Bros. Pictures.

Screenplay by Daniel Taplitz is a story within a story about a man who finds out he is sterile and that his daughter was actually fathered by his best friend.

Siega, who directed indie drama "Pretty Persuasion," said he was looking for a romantic comedy project. "It’s more of a farce than anything," he told Daily Variety. Siega’s feature directing credits also include "Underclassman," which Miramax released earlier this month.

Reynolds appears in the upcoming Inferno production "Just Friends," which New Line is releasing domestically and Inferno internationally. Thesp is also attached to star in "Ride Along" with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson."
