The horror websites have known it for weeks, but Variety has confirmed that "Saw 2" will be directed by music video helmer Darren Bousman. The first-time feature filmmaker worked on the sequel’s screenplay with "Saw" scribe Leigh Whannell — and obviously these chaps can write fast! Whannell and "Saw" director James Wan will act as executive producers for the sequel, which begins production on May 2nd. And yes, Lions Gate plans to have the follow-up ready for Halloween…of this year!
