Variety brings news of a book that sounds pretty damn cool … and the subsequent movie version that’ll probably pale by comparison. A.J. Jacobs’ upcoming "The Year of Living Biblically: One Man’s Humble Quest to Obey the Bible As Literally As Possible" will earn a big-screen version not too long after the book debuts on the shelves next fall.
"The book will chronicle and examine a year in which Jacobs, Esquire magazine’s editor at large, immerses himself in the rules of the Old and New Testament."
Paramount will work with Brad Pitt‘s Plan B production shingle, although it’s not yet known if Mr. Pitt sees the project as an acting propostion.
Mr. Jacobs’ most recent book, "The Know-it-all: One Man’s Humble Quest to Become the Smartest Person in the World," is also due for a movie treatment some time soon.
