Wow, I’ve never seen this many different websites respond to one TV spot like I have here. I guess it only makes sense, since "Transformers" hits a lot of different geek demographics: The movie nuts, the toy collectors, the animation buffs, the automobile enthusiasts…
Just some of the websites who’ve gone a little nutty over this story include Autoblog, Jalopnik, and FirstShowing, but IESB.net is where I was able to catch the "Transformers" TV spot after a bunch of other websites were asked (politely, I’m sure) to "cease and desist."
What’s cool about this TV commercial is that it’s the first time we get to see the face of Optimus Prime … plus he talks! One of the aforementioned websites takes great offense at the fact that Optimus seems to have, like, lips. A strange thing to complain about, but … do robots have lips? Hmmm.
Anyway, check out the TV spot before it vanishes for a few weeks and then shows up on your television eleven times a night for 5 weeks in a row. "Transformers" opens on July 4th.
