First-time screenwriters Joe Ventura and Tom Scharpling must have impressed someone at New Line with their "Jeff the Demon" screenplay, because the studio bought the concept and entrusted it to producer Scot Armstrong ("Old School," "Starsky & Hutch").Variety describes the project as "the story of two high school losers who find a book that allows them to summon a power from the netherworld. The demon, Jeff, helps them win every battle and right every wrong in their lives, but they quickly discover that having all of their dreams come true can cause problems." Obviously this flick’s going to be a comedy.
