New Doctor Who Trailer Shows Guest Star Maisie Williams

 

BBC released the first trailer for the new season of Doctor Who, featuring Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor and Game of Thrones‘ Maisie Williams as a mysterious guest star. Make sure you watch the second half of the trailer to see her appearance.

The trailer was unveiled at San Diego Comic Con Thursday, where fans reportedly went “absolutely ballistic, as they do when geek worlds collide.”

There’s no word yet on the nature of Williams’ character, though one prevalent fan theory is that she will play the Doctor’s daughter.

Season nine of Doctor Who will premiere on BBC America on Saturday, Sept. 19.
