Oscar-winner Mira Sorvino has joined the cast of drama "Reservation Road," a drama co-adapted and directed by "Hotel Rwanda" helmer Terry George.

Sorvino is set to play the ex-wife of Mark Ruffalo‘s character in the dramatic thriller, which follows one father as he tracks down another father, the hit-and-run driver of his ten-year-old son. Joaquin Phoenix and Jennifer Connelly are onboard playing opposite the pair as the parents of the victim.

Writer John Burnham Schwartz has penned the script from his own novel, with George providing revisions, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Filming has begun on location in Connecticut; Focus Features is eyeing a November 7 (just in time for awards season?) release.
