I’m not even that big of a comic book geek, but when I saw that Marvel’s new movie line-up included names like Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, and Nick Fury, I thought to myself: "Hey, all those guys are members of The Avengers!" And guess what? Marvel knew it too, which is why they’ve announced a live-action "Avengers" movie!
From IGN FilmForce: "X-Men" movie vet Zak Penn will script the live-action feature film version of "The Avengers." Also on the radar for Penn is the Universal-based "Hulk 2," which is expected to be Marvel’s second major release in 2008 after "Iron Man." Louis Leterrier will direct.
Key members of the production team for director Jon Favreau‘s "Iron Man" movie were named. J. Michael Riva ("Spider-Man 3") will serve as production designer, Oscar winner John Nelson ("Gladiator") will be the VFX Supervisor, and Matthew Libatique ("Inside Man") will act as the director of photography."

Franky, my brain can’t even comprehend how cool an "Avengers" movie could be. All those superheroes on one screen might just overload my geek circuits.
