Koepp to Write "Spider-Man 4"?

The ink’s barely dry on his script for the fourth "Indiana Jones," but screenwriter David Koepp is already in talks to write the fourth installment in Columbia Pictures’ "Spider-Man" series.

But don’t go thinking Koepp’s just a fourth-installment guy — he wrote the first "Spider-Man," after all, so this is actually sort of a homecoming for him. His screenplay may ultimately prove to be the least of the studio’s worries; before starting production, Columbia will have to try and negotiate new deals with stars Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, and James Franco, not to mention director Sam Raimi.

Luckily, there’s plenty of time to do all that — "Spider-Man 4" isn’t due for release until 2009 or 2010.
