Kevin James: "Monster Hunter"?

Sitcom funnyman Kevin James, last seen in "Hitch," has signed on to play "Monster Hunter" for Sony Pictures. According to Variety, the live-action family comedy is about "a child psychologist who can actually see the monsters that torment kids from closets and under beds. He uses that skill to vanquish the beasts until he meets a particularly nasty one."

Will Smith‘s Overbrook Entertainment is producing the movie, and if it sounds a little bit like "Monsters Inc.," that’s probably because both projects were written by Robert L. Baird & Daniel Gerson.
