Jeff Daniels ("Dumb & Dumber," "Terms of Endearment") has signed up for the Columbia Pictures comedy "R.V.," which means he’ll join an ensemble consisting of Robin Williams ("Jumanji"), Cheryl Hines ("Along Came Polly"), and Kristen Chenoweth ("Bewitched"). The Hollywood Reporter gives us the scoop on the plot: "The comedy follows a man (Williams) and his dysfunctional family who rent an RV and head for the Rockies, ending up in a campground community. Daniels plays an annoyingly helpful man who is considered the patron saint of the RV world." Barry Sonnenfeld ("Get Shorty," "The Addams Family") is in the director’s chair, and he’ll be working from a screenplay by Geoff Rodkey ("Daddy Day Care") and the team of Lowell Ganz & Babaloo Mandel ("Parenthood," "Fever Pitch").
