The new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher in "Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix" will be Imelda Staunton, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Staunton will play the role of Dolores Umbridge, who is appointed by the Ministry of Magic to replace Alastor ‘Madeye’ Moody from the previous installment. This British actress got acclaims for her role in 2004’s "Vera Drake" and can be seen playing the role of Mrs. Blatherwick in "Nanny McPhee."
"The Order of the Phoenix" will begin principal photography on Monday and is helmed by David Yates for release in 2007.
