Variety brings news of a fresh wrinkle in the planned remake of "The Heartbreak Kid." Looks like comedic siblings Peter & Bobby Farrelly will most likely be directing the re-do. Actors Jason Bateman and Amy Poehler have been attached to the project for a little while, but they might just get shown the door once the Farrellys officially take over.
Still (vaguely) in production for the brothers is their big screen "Three Stooges" revisit; their most recent film was the surprisingly well-received romantic comedy "Fever Pitch." The original "Heartbreak Kid," released in 1972, was written by Neil Simon, directed by Elaine May, and starred Charles Grodin & Cybill Shepherd.
