Fansite: Spielberg Will Not Direct "World of Warcraft"

It appears that Steven Spielberg will not have another movie with the words "war" and "world" in his filmography. A number of sources (including Rotten Tomatoes) reported earlier this week that Spielberg was attached to direct the film adaptation of the popular role playing game "World of Warcraft," something that the good folks at the fansite Spielbergfilms.com say is utterly incorrect.

"Steven Spielberg‘s offices have told us in no uncertain terms that Mr. Spielberg will not be directing ‘World of Warcraft,’ according to the site. "The project is in development, but not with Mr. Spielberg attached." The site also noted Spielberg has no plans to direct "The Da Vinci Code" prequel "Angels and Demons." However, he is planning to work on "Indiana Jones 4," an Abraham Lincoln biopic, and a Kip Torne-inspired sci-fi project.
