The Mafia stages a routine presence in cinema, but few of their movies are drawing the strong praise like Matteo Garrone’s Gomorrah is. Italy’s official entry for the 2008 Oscars and currently sitting pretty with a 91% Tomatometer, Gomorrah is a gritty, up-close look at the pervasive influence of violence, corruption, and coercion in Naples. The movie is ready to debut February 13th in limited release from IFC Films, and RT has been given the exclusive opportunity to unveil its American poster.
