Edward Norton is "The Incredible Hulk"

What was your first reaction upon reading that headline? Be honest. Mine was "Edward Norton as Bruce Banner?? Excellent choice, and one I never would have thought of."

Between this decision and "Iron Man" going to Robert Downey Jr., I think it’s a great time to be a fan of the superhero genre. (And let’s not forget Christian Bale coming back as "The Dark Knight"!) Having an award-winning actor as your lead can only bring a bit more credibility to a genre that’s often seen as very profitable yet fairly childish. (I know, it annoys me too.)

That’s all we have, new info-wise, on Louis Leterrier‘s "The Incredible Hulk," but this casting report seems like quite a doozy, if only in a comic/movie geek sense. Our source does mention a vague synopsis of the Zak Penn screenplay: "The new pic begins with Banner on the run, trying to avoid capture long enough to cure the condition that turns him into a misunderstood green menace."

Good enough for me! Now all we have to do is wait until next summer…
