Doom Writer Shoots for Twists in Action

Dave Callaham, who is working on the script for the forthcoming "Doom" film, writes that the film will diverge from the popular, violent video game. In an open letter to fans on the Homelanfed site, Callaham wrote that it was the intention of everyone, from the studio to id, the makers of the "Doom" game, to stake out territory different from the shoot-’em-up world of the game. However, he said elements of the game are faithfully represented in the screenplay, but with some key plot twists.
