Brad Pitt to Play Jesse James

Brad Pitt will play Jesse James in a Western to be directed by Andrew Dominik ("Chopper"), Variety reports. Based on Robert Hansen’s novel titled "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford," the movie will tell the story of a young gunslinger named Robert Ford who shoots his idol, Jesse James, in the back, and is tormented by the killing. Brad Pitt can be seen in the forthcoming "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," co-starring with Angelina Jolie.
