Who better than Kazakhstan’s number four journalist to share the screen with Johnny Depp in a film adaptation of the mad barber tale, to be directed by Tim Burton?

Brit comedian Sacha Baron Cohen is reportedly in talks to join the cast of Burton’s film musical, according to reports. Cohen is set to play Adolfo Pirelli, a barber rival of the protagonist, Sweeney Todd (Depp).

Although the "Sweeney Todd" tale has had many incarnations dating back to the 1840s, Burton’s flick will be based on the musical version composed by Stephen Sondheim. Recently revived on Broadway, the dark tale of a murderous barber with a revenge quest has been played out on stage by thesps like Patti LuPone, Cyndi Lauper, and Alan Cumming.

The last time Cohen played foil, he stole the show as a French race car driver in "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby."

Filming is set to start in February at England’s Pinewood Studios.

Meanwhile, "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" hits theaters November 3. Get your Day-Glo swimsuits ready.
