Not too long ago, M. Night Shyamalan was all set to direct an adaptation of Yann Martel’s "Life of Pi," and the Fox fellas were pretty pleased with the arrangement. But now that Night has moved on to WB and his "Lady in the Water" project, Variety reports that Fox has a new helmer in mind, and that guy would be Alfonso Cuaron ("Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"). Although Mr. Cuaron presently has something on his plate over at Universal, it’s expected that he’ll sign on for some "Pi" real soon.
