Producer John Calley has told Sci Fi Wire that Akiva Goldsman ("A Beautiful Mind") has completed the script for the upcoming film adaptation of Dan Brown’s novel "The Da Vinci Code." According to him, the script is "quite wonderful" and that "all the salient stuff is there." He adds that Ron Howard ("Apollo 13") is directing and Tom Hanks is likely to play the role of Robert Langdon, the famed Harvard symbologist who’s out to solve the murder of a curator of the Louvre, but uncovers something deeper instead. The film is scheduled to start filming summer 2005.
