Mega-wealthy author J.K. Rowling recently spent some time on a UK talk show, and she had some rather shocking things to say about the final fate of the Hogwart’s gang. Apparently a few funerals are going to occur…

But I have to say two die that I didn’t intend to die," she said. "A price has to be paid. We are dealing with pure evil here. They don’t target extras do they? They go for the main characters. While she wouldn’t reveal if one of the two characters is Harry himself, Rowling added that she has never been tempted to kill him off before the final book because she had always planned seven."

Personally, I’d have left the secrets under wraps until the book’s release. It’s not like the book wouldn’t become an all-time bestseller without the teasy little spoiler hints. Right?
