Not long after "The Transformers" became a bona-fide toy sensation back in the ’80s, along came a rather similar toy line called "Voltron." And only a few short weeks after the news of a "Transformers" movie was announced, The Hollywood Reporter indicates that a "Voltron" movie is also getting underway. (What a coincidence!)
Anyway, producer Mark Gordon is the one seeing green on this project, which will focus on "five maverick explorer-pilots who must travel to the planet Arus to learn how to operate Voltron, a giant mechanical warrior formed by five smaller robots."
No word yet on when a live-action "Go-Bots" movie will kick into production.
