Cineplex has posted the first trailer for Eric Brevig‘s FX-heavy update on the Jules Verne classic, and if you’ve ever suspected that the Earth’s core is home to glowing birds, rampaging dinosaurs, cell towers, and the set from the cart-chase scene in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, give yourself a pat on the back — you were right all along. Here’s a synopsis to get us started:
On a special trip to Iceland, a scientists (Fraser) and his nephew become trapped in a cave after a storm. They soon figure out the only path to safety is through the center of Earth.
