There’s been a lot of talk about the Nicole Kidman / Daniel Craig sci-fi flick "The Invasion," most of it … not good. But here’s our first peek at a trailer…
It’s been well-documented that "The Invasion" was essentially taken away from director Oliver Hirschbiegel and then handed over to the "V for Vendetta" team of Wachowski, McTeigue, and Wachowski. And then came a whole bunch of test screening reports that weren’t all that … nice.
Well now you can check out some footage for yourself. Here’s the trailer.
I’d say the trailer probably gives a little to much away, but it looks like a half-decent little sci-fi flick … although I doubt it’ll garner many favorable comparisons to either of the classic "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" movies. (I prefer the ’78 version.) But if "The Invasion" is at least as good as "Body Snatchers," that’d be just fine.
"The Invasion," which stars Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig, Jeremy Northam, and Jeffrey Wright, opens on August 17th.
