Variety reports that Chris Morgan, writer of "Cellular" and next June’s "Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," has been tapped by Universal to turn Dan Bereton & James Hudnall’s "The Psycho" into a movie.

The graphic novel series is about "a world where individuals attain superpowers by taking an unpredictable and potentially lethal drug. Protag is a rogue CIA agent who risks insanity and becomes a "Psycho" himself in order to rescue his g.f. and expose a political conspiracy."

(This project has no relation whatsoever to any works by Robert Bloch, Alfred Hitchcock, Anthony Perkins, and/or Gus Van Sant.)
