• Alfred Molina has joined Kate Bosworth in writer/director Agnieszka Vosloo’s supernatural thriller "After.Life."

• Sam Neill has joined Ethan Hawke in "Daybreakers," a futuristic vampire thriller from Australian horror auteurs Peter and Michael Spierig.

• Warner Independent Pictures has signed Lodge Kerrigan to write and direct "Thieves," an English-language remake of the French film "Les Voleurs."

• "The Simpsons" writer and co-producer Dana Gould will develop a zombie comedy tentatively titled "The Last Larry" for Comedy Central that he will write and star in.

• 20th Century Fox will bring a live-action film of the computer game "The Sims" to the big-screen.

• Nicolas Cage has dropped out of "The Untouchables: Capone Rising," Brian De Palma‘s "Untouchables" prequel, due to a scheduling conflict.

• Sandra Bullock will return to the romantic comedy fold, starring in Touchstone Pictures’ "The Proposal."
