Stan Lee on Superhero Movies and His Surprising "Fantastic Four 2" Cameo

At 84 years old, the legendary comics god Stan Lee is showing no signs of slowing down. Right now he’s out there hawking a really cool video game called "Marvel Ultimate Alliance," preparing for a second season of "Who Wants to Be a Superhero?," and doing cameo roles in basically all of the Marvel movies — including the new "Hulk" and "Fantastic Four" flicks.

From MovieWeb.com: "I have spoken with people of all age groups and my mother, in particular, loved all three X-Men films. I was wondering why you think those movies struck such a chord with people?

Stan Lee: I think one reason might be because they feature characters whose problems we can sympathize with and relate to. The stories aren’t merely an excuse for meaningless action but they deal in human relationships and human emotions.

Can you talk at all about Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer, the new Hulk movie (where it might be going), and Iron Man?

Stan Lee: Sorry, If I gave any advance info away they’d send Dr. Doom after me. I can only tell you that my cameo in the Fantastic Four is one of the best I’ve done. I not only have a speaking role, but when you see what the scene depicts, it’ll be one of the biggest surprises of all."
