It is with a heavy heart that we here at RT bid a fond farewell to our informational widget, as the company that built and hosted it is sadly folding. Beginning on Thursday, February 26th, our widget will be officially defunct, and will therefore be removed from all of its current placements on RT. It will also no longer receive editorial updates, so while those of you who have downloaded the application to your desktops are certainly still welcome to hold on to the widget for its pretty colors and overall aesthetic appeal, it probably won’t be of much practical use to you any more.
Having said all this, however, we are currently looking into other options to continue bringing you similar content, and we hope to have a replacement for you sometime in the future. On a more exciting note, we also wanted to point out that we will still have a presence on Twitter, and if you haven’t begun following our earth-shattering updates there, well, what are you waiting for? Do you have an aversion to Tomatometer updates on the biggest opening movies? Are you allergic to live coverage of special events, like Jen’s recent night at the Oscars? Do you harbor any ill will towards our yet-to-be-pulitzer-nominated writers’ articles? No? Then click here and make us feel popular and loved.
