New Episodes Tonight:

2 Broke Girls: Season 3

Once again, Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs are female and financially insolvent; in tonight’s episode, our heroines must come up with new ideas when their business is threatened by changing trends.

Beauty and the Beast: Season 2

The critics found the first season of Beauty and the Beast to be a middling fantasy series, but the premire got some decent notices; tonight, Vincent (Jay Ryan) and Cat (Kristin Kreuk) on on the trail of trail of a strange beast.

The Blacklist: Season 1

Critics say James Spader is riveting as a criminal-turned-informant, and his presence goes a long way toward making this twisty but occasionally implausible crime procedural compelling. In tonight’s episode, Liz gets caught in a kidnapping scheme as she tries to help prevent an important delivery.

Bones: Season 9

The venerable crime solving couple of Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz are still on the case; on tonight’s episode, the details of a murder investigation are kept quiet as our heroes’ wedding day draws near.

Castle: Season 6

Now that Castle (Nathan Fillion) has popped the question to Beckett (Stana Katic), will our heroes be able to solve crimes while reflecting on their personal lives? Tonight, a suspected killer claims to be from the future.

Hart of Dixie: Season 3

Rachel Bilson is back for the third season of this fish-out-of-water comedy about a hotshot heart surgeon in a small town in Alabama. Tonight, Zoe begins practicing medicine again, while Lavon attempts to bring a baseball team to town and Lemon attempts a coup of the Belles.

Hostages: Season 1

The critics say Hostages has an intriguing premise and handsome production values, but its twisty plot sometimes strains credulity. On tonight’s episode, Ellen (Toni Collette) performs emergency surgery in her home.

How I Met Your Mother: Season 9

This is the season in which we finally meet the mother of the title. Tonight, Robin and Barney disagree with the minister, Marshall discovers something interesting about Daphne, and Ted chooses between three women.

Mom: Season 1

Anna Faris and Allison Janney share an undeniable comedic chemistry, and if the jokes are sometimes too crass, Mom represents a sincere (and often witty) attempt to address addiction issues. In tonight’s episode — guest starring Octavia Spencer — Christy’s new friend is troubled, and Bonnie focuses on helping others.
