Sinners, One Battle After Another, Frankenstein, and more win big.

“I stand here because of the people who came before me.” — Michael B. Jordan

The 98th Academy Awards ceremony was a night for the books as Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another came out on top and Ryan Coogler’s Sinners made history. While PTA’s critically-acclaimed film took home Best Picture, Best Director, Best Casting, and more, Autumn Durald became the first woman to win an Oscar for Best Cinematography for Sinners. And the audience went wild when Michael B. Jordan took home the award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.

Meanwhile, Amy Madigan won her first Oscar for her role as Aunt Gladys in Weapons, and she was overwhelmed as she thanked her fellow nominees. Director Chris Appelhans delivered a powerful speech when Kpop Demon Hunters won Best Animated Film. “Keep telling your story,” he told viewers. “The world is waiting.”
